Tigerwood (Astronium spp.) is a straight- and even-grained wood. As its name suggests, this wood has thick brown streaks on a background that ranges from light brown to a dark orange-brown. Tigerwood has pronounced variations in colour that can eventually become reddish brown. It has a Janka hardness rating of 2160.
